French company SILAR which started, under different entities, in 1936 as a paint manufacturer has been producing zinc oxides since 1952, is part of the Belgian SILOX group holding company. It is an ISO, HACCP, ECOCERT certified producer of three types of Zinc oxide used mainly in the paints & coatings industries: EXTRA S, EXTRA R & SILAZINC ECO which has been specifically developed in order not to be classified as dangerous for the environment. SILAR has two factories in France, with the headquarters being in Beauchamp. SILAR started co-operation with Oilchem for the Greek market in 2022
